Whether you’re looking to make short-term backups of your media and project files, or you want to temporarily “park” a project, or you want to build a permanent tape archive, there is an ARK solution for you.

Manage and Protect Your Media

Ark Tape fully integrates with EditShare’s Archive production storage and FLOW asset management, creating a tiered storage environment with powerful automation and media management capabilities. You can easily copy or migrate content from “online” EditShare Media Spaces to “nearline” 40 or 60NL or “offline” Ark Tape LTO storage. With FLOW Production MAM, you can view low-resolution proxy files of everything stored on Ark and quickly restore any files back to an online state. With Ark, your media is always just a few clicks away.

Powerful Admin Tools

Since Ark is “Archive aware,” it displays all your EditShare Media Spaces and Project Spaces in the Ark User Interface, making it easy to define which spaces to include in an Ark Job. Setting up and running Ark jobs is straightforward, with all the feedback and control you’d expect. Ark logic ensures jobs will succeed before they run, and you can schedule jobs to run automatically at preset times—monthly, weekly, daily, or even multiple times a day—or trigger them on demand. When an Ark job completes, you can instantly receive a report listing all copied files, with the option to have the list emailed to you.
